The Hong Kong Observation Wheel

The Hong Kong Observation Wheel opened in December 2014.

It is located next to the Hong Kong Maritime museum and the Central Harbourfront Event Space and as such part of a popular destination in Hong Kong. It has been selected as the only Asian attraction in the Lonely Planet list of ‘Attractions to do in the world’. That is quite an achievement.

The Hong Kong Observation Wheel is 60 meter high with 42 gondolas. The wheel is not only carrying more gondolas to handle the anticipated high visitor numbers but is also modified to deal with the extreme wind conditions.
