AmberSky - Gdansk

AmberSky in Gdansk, Poland
The new AmberSky opened to the public in May 2026
In 2016, Dutch Wheels had the privilege of constructing a R50SP in the city of Gdansk. In the years that followed, we performed ongoing maintenance, relocated the wheel to a new site in the city (dismantling and reinstalling it in full) and carried out a number of upgrades, including a new lighting package.
Since 2018, the AmberSky has been beautifully situated in the heart of Gdansk’s historic old town, on the banks of the Motlawa river. From high above the city, guests enjoy a breathtaking view of the medieval skyline, a perspective that turns an ordinary visit into something truly memorable.
The wheel’s success speaks for itself. After nearly a decade of operation, Dutch Wheels was proud to dismantle the original attraction and replace it with a brand-new 53-metre wheel featuring 30 extra large gondolas with glass windows, each accommodating up to 12 guests. Each gondola is equipped with air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and an electronic audio guide with screens highlighting Gdansk's key landmarks.
The AmberSky is a prime example of what a Ferris wheel can become: a destination in its own right. As a standalone attraction in one of Europe’s most visited historic city centres, it draws tourists and locals alike, and with its versatile setup, it serves as a vibrant stage for special events year-round.

"From construction to relocation, upgrade to renewal, we don't just build wheels. We build landmarks."
