Our History

Dutch Wheels' Ferris wheel story traces its roots to the 20th century. Back then, in the 1960’s and 1970’s, our former parent company Vekoma started manufacturing attractions and parts for the amusement industry.

It was 1968 when the first Ferris wheel was built. And it is here where our story with Ferris wheels starts.

In the following decades Vekoma delivered more and more Ferris wheels. In 2008 a separate Ferris wheel division was started called Dutch Wheels, and so our company was born.

In 2018 Dutch Wheels separated completely from its parent and moved to its own new headoffice in Weert, the Netherlands.

Dutch Wheels is growing and evolving.

Starting in 2026, we want to proudly showcase this growth through an upgrade of our logo and brand identity.
